Harold, a CROY family lived in Hampton Township, Marion County, Arkansas, in 1880. Have this information on them.
CROY
R. T., age 30, b. GA
Martha J., age 30, b. TN *
Edgar R., age 6, b. AR
Louisa C., age 2, b. AR
William C., age 2M, b. AR
ADAMS
George W., age 11, b. AR
Tempa A., age 9, b. AR
*Martha Jane PIERCE, b. 1850, TN, daughter of Reuben Harrison PIERCE, b. 12 October 1812, in Edgefield District, SC; d. 24 August 1890, MCAR, and Sarah BAKER.
The ADAMS children are from Martha Jane PIERCE's first marriage to (unknown) ADAMS.
Perhaps one of the CROY sons (in above household) is the father of the subject George CROY.
Peggy
P.S. In lieu of further jury duty (beginning Monday 6/9), the judge is requiring that I do 24 hours of community service! Kinda' ironic since I've been doing community service for years. If I was age 70 already, I'd be automatically exempt.
