Yes, Mary Lula was his mother-in-law and step-mother as John B. Lawrence married Mary E. and his dad Virgil married Mary Lula Bobbitt Speaks. Indiana was not dead, she was still alive in the 1920 census and living with her son George F. Lawrence.Never been able to find a death date for her. Marilyn
