That's what I thought..........that Mattie was a nickname for Martha. But,
that burial record that Vera posted said that a wife was buried next to him
and that it was a Mattie V. or something like that. I think that the
confusion on that burial record, for me is whether it is Sr. or Jr. that
died in 1946.
Have to do some checking further, but thanks a bunch.
