Wiley T. Langston Dies at Home Here Monday

Wiley Thomas Langston, well know citizen of this place, died at his home in
the east part of town, Monday, March 17. He had been in failing health for
several months.

Mr Langston was 73 years of age. He was born at Flat Rock, August 25, 1873
and the greater part of his life was spent in that community. After selling
his farm several months ago, he moved to Calico Rock. He was married to Miss
Cora Belle Burns on Jan 20, 1898 to which union four children were born. He
united with the Methodist Church at Flat Rock at the age of 12 years and
lived a true Christian life.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs Lillian Speak of Forty Four; two
sons, Arch and Herbert Langston of Calico Rock' two brothers, Robert and
Henry Langston of Calico Rock; two sisters, Misses Polly and Nancy Langston
of Calico Rock; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services, conducted by Rev. W. T. Watson of this place and Emmett
Smith of Searcy, were held at the Church of Christ, Wednesday afternoon.
Burial was in Rose Lawn Cemetery under direction of the Roller Funeral
Service. Pall bearers were: E. C. Rodman, Theo Garner, Sherman Garner,
Austin Harris, Newt Caple and Neill Brooks.
