Thanks for your response. Interesting, I think.

I don't have access to the Historians; and I don't mean to question the
gentleman's documentation and/or research of this family - and of the
Woodall maiden name for Adaline's birth - but, the marriage record to T. G.
Smith to Adaline McGlothlin is sure something to think about, don't you
think?

Might be there was a Woodall marriage for this Adaline?

I did some checking my records and there were indeed early day Woodalls in
Indepence Co. There was a Shadrick Woodall that was married to Mary Ann
Ruminer. I research the Ruminers because one of my grandmother's nieces was
married to a Ruminer.

Anyone know anything about the Woodall surname?
