Roger, Bernie, Junebug & others interested,

I caught up with this late last night and rambled a bit. Seems the Nail
families were in AR as early as 1832 & maybe earlier. Looked like the groups came
to Benton Co., AR . Interestingly many of those were disbursed in the 1860
Census.
Examples:
Born AR in 1832, 1860 Census Panola co., Texas
Born AR in 1833, 1860 Census Bosque Co., Texas
Born Ar in 1840, 1860 Census Scott Valley, Siskiyou co., CA
(when was the gold rush?)

Looks like the Nail family in 1860 AR, Izard, Drytown may have traveled thru
MO, or at least had one child there.

Some of the ones around 188- Lafferty, Izard Co., AR came thru TN and MS.

Looks like they were Movers early on.
From this I would suspect military moneys and land but didn't check that yet.
Roger have you investigated that yet?
Beth
