Information on the Tutt Everett War can be found at many places but
probably the most accurate account may be the one written by W. B. Flippin
in 1876. That is part of the Marion County History book, you can access
that chapter on line at:

From that chapter I assumed that "Bob Adams" was in fact the Robert Adams
that we are talking about and he is listed as one of the Everett gang. (
Just as a comment, he may have been fast with the women, but slow to mount
his horse and get away, which almost got him in trouble)
