Marilyn, Boy those folks really did move around didn't they----I'll bet they
are connected too.

You just reminded me about something that I meant to ask before. I know these
families are probably connected to you but I'm not sure. There was a family
of children, can't remember the father or mother's names but there was an older
daughter that married a Craig, then a son, Junius (sp?) that married Marsha
Langston-----now my question is this, there was a younger son, a sibling (can't
remember his name but it would have been one of the youngest children) and I
think that he worked for the AR Arts Center here in Little Rock for some years
and maybe still there? Do you know what his given name might have been? I've
just been blank on this individual's name for so long, I'd forgotten to ask
if you knew these siblings. Thanks from anyone!
Beth

I don't have anything to prove they are related but they come from the same
area and same names in the family over and over. I also have a John Lawrence
son of another James that stayed in Alabama and was in the Alabama
legislature for 3 terms.1856, 1866, 1878. Most of our Lawrence went from
Virginia to North carolina, tenn and Georgia and Alabama then to Arkansas. In
Georgia they lived in Paulding county and Gwinnett county. Martin Allen
Lawrence was born in Wilkes County NC and is buried in Menlo, Georgia in the
Lawrence family cemetery. His dad moved to Jasper county in 1811 then to
Gwinnett county, Georgia while Martin was still young. He later moved to
Chattooga county, Georgia as 2 of his brothers lived there. He married Nancy
Mills and died May 13, 1875.
