Don

I am afraid that I am such a novice with those video gadgets; that I could
not get it to load. But, did read the text and found the area of Pass
Christian - which basically told me what I was afraid of - that the area of
Pass Christian was virtually destroyed.

As I recall, the population of Pass Christian was about 1800 folks. I have
a book on the history of the region somewhere that I purchased on one of our
many visits. Seems that the wealthy New Orleanians would escape the
summer's heat after the War and into the turn of century........and vacation
there and in Waveland. As I mentioned in my first post; the history of the
area is so interesting was once; so beautiful.

Just the nicest folks.

About a week before the hurricane hit; I received an email from a woman that
makes soaps there in Pass Christian. I was placing an order from her for my
store's holiday business. On my husband's last trip there to New Orleans
(Scott had one of his plastic plants in Summit.); he had a few days for some
R and R, so he rented a car and took a quick drive to the Pass. Met up with
old friends and just had a wonderful time. It was on that trip that he met
the woman that makes the soaps and brought me a sample back to Hawai'i - so,
to make a long story short - I was extending the Pass commerce to the
Hawai'ian islands.

But, no more and I worry that the woman did not evacuate. I hope that she
did.
She just seemed so nice.
