I am intersted in the Gillilands. They married into my line. Three Julian sisters married three Gilliland brothers sons of Thomas Newton Gilliland and Hannah Brothers. Do you know anything about this line of Gilliland's?

I have that Parks Lankford died during the Civil War. His widow remarried
to a David Courtney Hanna (b1805 KY) in 1864 - there in Izard Co. There is
also a Gilliland connection somewhere; as you can see by this census record:

1880 Izard Co., Arkansas census, Franklin Township:
HANNEY, David M 75 farmer KY Ireland VA
#138/140 Thersey F 57 wife keeping house TN TN
TN
Pernella F 16 daughter AR KY TN
Nancy J F 14 daughter AR KY TN
David C M 11 son farm laborer AR
KY TN
John M 9 son AR KY TN
HATCH, Cyrus M 53 son-in-law blacksmith IN MA
NY HATCH, Elizabeth F 34
daughter boarder TN KY TN
GILLILAND, Minie F 1 boarder TX UNK UNK

My Sinors intermarried with the Gillilands; so I have always been curious
about this little Minnie Gilliland in the David Hanna (Hanney?) household.
My Sinors also intermarried with the Haneys - but, researchers of the family
above say that his surname was Hanna and not Haney.

David Hanna migrated from Tennessee circa 1851 and was in the Fulton Co.
census for 1860. I do not have that record of file; but my understanding is
that his first wife was a Rachel Dempsey.

Just thought I would throw that out.
