My grandad's family ended up around Ada, OK. My understanding is that the
attraction was the land at first (the OK land rush when they opened up the
former Indian territory)and OIL...my granddad and great granddad worked at
first as sharecroppers and then for the Sinclair Oil Company working on the
rigs.

I've always wondered why so many from Izard / Baxter went to Garvin County
around Pauls Valley.
