In looking through Tonys files I noticed that 2 of Thomas Hightower
Talburts brothers also married Ricketts & I was wondering if you knew if
they were sisters, cousins or anything like that.

They were:

Lucinda L. Ricketts born 1849 Arkansas

Martha Ricketts born 1831Tennessee

Hi all



Thanks to Melanie - I have been looking closer at the William James Harris
line. Thanks for the heads up and I was able to look at the website that you
suggested just a wee bit this morning before I left for the boutique.



Interesting.



It sounds to me like that if Talburt did not die until 1863 - and all of the
Talburt researchers seem to have this circa death date for him...........
and in Missouri? I bet the Civil War page would have something on him, Jeri
and her gang are real thorough.



Anyway...............if Rebecca Ricketts was still married to Thomas
Hightower Talburt in 1863 - THEN, that means that William James Harris had a
first marriage. I show that he had a son named Henry Britton Harris on March
10, 1862. Must have married shortly after that 1860 census was taken in the
A. C. Jeffery household. And he had his younger brother; James A. Harris
with him.





So, with an unknown first marriage, a second marriage to Rebecca Ricketts
Talburt circa 1869........then a third marriage to Martha Elizabeth "Bettie"
Clinton in 1880.



Interesting.



Wonder if Harris' first wife was a Jeffery? Are all of A. C. Jeffery's
sisters accounted for, marriage wise?



Now, Dorothy has asked me about the little boy named James A. Harris
enumerated with his older brother in the 1860 Jeffery household. The
following is what I have and is sure open for discussion - by all means,
Melanie - always question me - that is how we all learn, right?



Take a look and I welcome any questions and corrections. Dorothy? Let me
know if James "Alva" Harris is your man, okay?
