> Mary & Tom, this is so exciting. This Lee Branson is the step-son of Marion Green. In Marion's will, he left $5.00 to each child, but left his property to Lee Branson, whom it appears he thought a lot of. All of this letter makes sense, especially since it connects our Marion to Noel & William, which was my concern. This Lee also puts the last child Julie as a child of Marion, which she was, but he states that Marion was married to Martha (Matt) Ivie and I wonder why if he married Martha in 1881 and Julie was born in 1882, according to her death certificate, why does he state that Marion and Martha didn't have any children. I assumed, which one should not do...that Marion's wife Mary Ann "Polly" Blankenship died before he married Marttha. Always more questions.

> Tom I would be interested as to when did you get this letter? Is it something that you had for a while or did you just get while you were gone to California? I was corresponding with a Beth Peck Cooper on the Izard Co Maillist as she knew Julie (Green) Wadkins family and she was going to try to find out Lee Bransons address.

> Jennifer seems to think that the Mary J. Patterson that lists as a step-daughter on the 1880 census is a daughter of Mary Ann "Polly" Blankenship from a 1st marriage. Since it lists Mary J. as a daughter of Polly Patterson, I wonder if she and Mary Ann "Polly" Blankenship are the same person. The way the letter reads, or at least the way I read it, but then it is getting late, so maybe I didn't get it right, is that Marion married a Polly Patterson, Mary Ann "Polly" Blankenship, Martha Ivie, Mollie Ellen (Williams) -Branson.

> Lee's letter certainly has merit and he would be the one to know everything. I hope we can communicate with him.
