I don't think that I saw a list but Thomas's age could certainly make
him father or uncle for Mathew ARNOLD.

I saw the same entry you posted about Russellville, Franklin Co., AL and
wondered the same thing you did? Without know whether Carrie BEAN was
a widow at the 1870, we don't know whether James BEAN is her husband or
brother-in-law. I would lean toward, Carrie BEAN being head of household with
that position and the fact that it lists real estate value didn't it? But here is the kicker,
that may be BLEVINS land from the father of her children? Right?
I did take note of the surnames around that entry,
LITTLE, CREEKMORE, SKINNER,NOLAND, JENNINGS, HURLEY, LADD, THOMPSON and VINCENT

Any of you BLEVINS researcher see connections here with other family groups?
I'm thinking James BEAN may be husband of Carrie BEAN but they are residing on
property from late husband of Carrie, BLEVINS children are all from first marriage,
which then leads you to think that maybe Carrie and James have recently married
before the 1870 Census.

I have not interest in the Arnold Family so didn't go back to find out who
old Matt's father was.
I do have a little 4 line mention of his death I got from one of the Izard
County papers but it has no genealogy information.
