I believe in 1850 and 1860 the census shows Nancy Elizabeth
Adams b. 1828. In 1850 he is 21 she is 22, in 1860 both are listed as
32. I do recognize that in 1850 she is listed as born AR and in 1860
KY. He probably married Mary Mahulda Pearson b. 30 Jan 1842 GA, on
13 Jun 1861 and they had a bunch of kids after the CW.
Now there may be some confusion on this because some of the
researchers show him born ca 1840, that is the one married to Hulda
Pierson. She filed the CW pension papers on Absolom J. Langston. I
guess that J. might stand for Junior? He was supposed to serve from
1862 to 1865 in Co. G, 27th AR Inf. This might be another man?
The one complication is that Sarah Caroline Langston was
born 13 Jun 1862 and Absolom was supposed to have married Mary
Mahulda Pearson on 13 Jun 1861. Maybe you can help get this straight.
The 1870 Census makes everything even more confusing.
Absolom is shown as 30 again married to "Hulda"
Maybe you have an answer for this?
However I don't think we are getting any closer to the
marriage you listed earlier.
