Kid, you are so right. Picked pecans - but, no cotton. And from what my
mother and father said, there is no comparison. Mother picked cotton with
one baby cradled in a sack in front of her and her older daughter; my sister
named Joice - followiing her down the row.

No sister, no picking cotton for me. What would someone that was living in
the Bottoms in 1905 been doing? Picking cotton?

I really think that the descendant meant that it was Frances that was buried
in the Bottoms and her death was during childbirth in 1905.
