I think that a lot of us who have the gift of helping forget to pray and ask
Gods guidance when out in everyday life. Remember that Jesus did not debate
with Satan the ownership of this planet when Satan offered it to him if
'Jesus would bow down and worship him'. Bad things happen to good people
with good intentions.

Times have changed drastically; if the kids today were alive during World
War II I think that we would have lost the war--no victory gardens; no
saving on gasoline-rubber-metal, etc. This generation seems to be the me-me
generation.

We do ALL of our gift giving through our church and Christian Organizations
like the Bible League, GFA and local charities and we are 'careful to pray
for Gods leading'. A lot of times we are led to get out and help; but on
several occasions we both had a bad feeling and drove onto the next town and
called the locatl police. I keep a pen & pad in both vehicles and a
disposable camera in case we see something suspecious or are in an accident;
and I have the local & state police phone numbers keyed into our cell
phones. I taught my daughter not to stop for flashing lights (even 2 of
them on a marked vehicle); but rather drive to an area with lots of people
around; only roll her window down 1 inch and keep her door locked when
stopped. The police will understand and if they don't, ask to speak with
the officer in charge. I also told her not to stop for accidents that did
not disable her vehicle; but rather drive to an area with lots of people or
to the local Police station / State Patrol office and then stop and exchange
information.

Better to be judged by 12 peers than carried by 6!

Glad you are playing it safe! / Mike
