It's a phishing scam. Don't respond to it! This is from CenturyTel's website:

Q. What if I think an e-mail purported to be from CenturyTel seems fraudulent?

A. If you receive a suspicious e-mail purporting to be from CenturyTel, please forward the e-mail to .

CenturyTel will never send e-mail notices asking for customer payment information, username, or passwords used to manage accounts. CenturyTel may send informative messages to customers, but will never seek personal information.

Did anyone else get letters like this from Century Tel, and are they legitimate? I have asked a few people that have centurytel. and no one else seems to have got them.
