I have two Chestnut names in my family file, two ladies about the
same age:

Mary Emily Chestnut- b. ca 1860, m. Martin V Hightower
Millie Louisa Chestnut- b. 5 dec 1862, m. Thomas Edmon Gaither

Don't have proven parents for either of these, wonder if they are
connected to this family?......HRB

newspaper Baxter Bulletin, Mountain Home, AR

issue dated Jan 14, 1944

Mrs Mary E. Chestnut born Feb 5, 1868 in Canton, GA. She died Sat. She
married July 14, 1885 to Robert William Chestnut. Her parents were William
Pinkney and Sara Ann Meers. Survivors are three children: Mrs W. E. Baker,
(illegible) Chestnut of Mountain Home and Mrs John Finley of (illegible).
Her husband preceded her in death as did three children: Mabel, Myrtle and
Ralph. She moved from Sidney to Mountain Home 15 years ago. Burial was in
Gray Cemetery in Izard County.

Cemetery book shows Ralph Chestnut 1901-1907 buried in the Gray Cemetery.
