Subject: [ARIZARD] Obits before 1900 for Izard/Baxter counties?

Most of the obituaries of the area don't start until 1900 or later.
There were several cemeteries moved when the Norfork Dam was built.
I didn't find either name listed in the Cemetery book.
The Corp made a list of names of the people moved and this list was used
when making the cemetery book of Baxter County.
> My g grandmother, Mary Ann (Blankenship) Green, wife of Marion Green,
> probably died in 1882 or shortly thereafter. Were there newspapers at
> time in the area?
> If so, is anyone working on the obits from those newspapers--the local
> historical societies maybe?
> Marion's 2nd wife, Martha Clementine Ivie (Ivey?) probably died about
> She was probably buried where the lake is now, but does not appear in the
> Hand Cemetery listing. Was there another cemetery those graves were moved
> to besides Hand?
> Where might an obit for her have appeared for local news?
> In Guthrie, OK
