I have a puzzle.
It appears my mom's cousin has an article about the Acklin & Berry families. Tis said they settled in Fulton Co. as farmers, though never wealthy ones. Jim/James Acklin & John N. Berry were the two families mentioned.
Also said, that one of - if not the first - the earliest cemeteries was 'the Old Acklin Cemetery' to be found in the Jot-em-down area, previously known as the Mt. Pleasant area (cemetery?).
Is this the same Jot-em-down that you'all were discussing earlier?
I thought that was in Izard Co., but with county lines changing over the years, was that area once considered to be in Fulton Co?
I haven't seen the article, mom's cousin was reading me bits & pieces over the phone.
I'd appreciate you'alls thoughts on the matter.
