Lena M Melton, 87, of Batesville died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000 at her home.

Born Sept . 12, 1912 in Calico Rock, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Conrad and Belle Lennox Conrad. She was a retired nurse for Gray's Hospital in Batesville.

Survivors include a son, Eulice Gillihan of Batesville; a daughter, Bonna Deaton of Batesville; five grand children; six great grand children; and several great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hubert Gillihan; a son, Ewell Gillihan; three sisters and three brothers.

The body was cremated.
