Blann/Bland is one of my families out of Kentucky to MO then to AR.
Do you have much on your George W. Blann?
I would like to help with your search for Freeman's Regiment. Have
you looked at
http://www.couchgenweb.com/civilwar/freebiog.htm
I'm sure you have, but when I read it I noticed he ended up as
Prosecuting Attorney in Newton County. Do you think their
historical society might have a file on him?
Usually the applications for pension (did he apply for one?) are
descriptive about battles, illnesses, family relationships, etc.
I wish I could be of more help to you. I love reading all of the
Izard Co. exchanges. It is a wonderful place. Pansylea
