Hi everyone,
Wishing all our members a Safe & Happy 4th.
This holdiay and Christmas are two holidays when I really miss not having small children around to ooh and ahh at the beautiful colors in God's glorious sky. My youngest grandchild is now nine-years-old. (Good gracious, time does fly faster the older I get). We have a beautiful fireworks display at Lake Norfork, made especially so since it's over the water.
As most of you know by now I am an avid reader. I love to read old books, especially about how our country got started. I know what I have read in school history books is a very abbreviated version of what really went on. History books give us places and dates but does not touch on the heartbreak and sacrafices that our forefathers went through so we could enjoy our freedom. I think of our soldiers still fighting for that freedom and my heart goes out to them and their families.
Okay........enough gooshy stuff. This is suppose to be a safe and fun holdiay where everybody gets a sunburn and "cricks" in their neck from watching fireworks.
