As far as I know, we don't have a Fernando. But who knows, this family has many surprises which I have found. He might be a distant cousin or something like that because we still don't know all the relatives until they show up in my e-mail. I met my northern CA relatives on-line and we will be having a family reunion on Labor Day next year. Also, you didn't mention where in New Mexico because mine are from Las Cruces and New Mexico is Chavez country. There's a county named after them for crying out loud.
