I am looking for info on my gg grandfather, John Pickney Campbell, born in
1853 and died May 1925. He married a woman named Mary ?. They had one
son, Johnny Campbell, b. ? died 1938. He married Nellie McDaniel, who
died in 1932. I have some of the history from there on, but don't know
much of anything about John Pickney and his wife or where they came from.
It has been said that at one time they owned quite a bit of land around the
Swifton area.
I haven't found anything in any of the sites I have looked at so far.
Any help would be appreciated.
