That is an interesting site. I didn't realize how much coal came from the
area, despite the giveaway name of Coal Hill. My step-grandfather was a coal
mine operator (Guy Johnson - see 1920 census) in Clarksville and later owned
and ran a mine in Paris. He closed down when he could no longer pay the wages
demanded by the union.
