Tom, you may want to check out the Johnson Co. records at the Arkansas History Commission or the Butler Center. Both have Johnson Co. census, court and tax records as well as newspapers on microfilm. In addition, they have many of the published sources for Johnson Co.

If that isn't convenient for you, you may want to contact the Johnson Co. Historical Society's corresponding secretary, Jane Wade, <>. For a modest donation to the Society, $7 per hour, she will check the published indexes at the local library.
