In my search for my grandfather,I have found the followering. Yates killed my grandfather,Harry Campbell, in Harrison,Ar.April 3,1922. I believe Yates was a convict because the headlines in the GreenvilleTexas Evening News states "Convict Wounded in Gun Fighting (Harrison,Ar) and Campbell Dead". I have not been able to find out the story of this.
Arwine Yates "Human Wolf" Standridge,born October 1881,Newton County,Ar died August 8,1940. in Sallisaw,oklahoma. He was killed in ambush at Vian,Oklahoma by George Ellis. this is close to Sallisaw,Oklahoma. Yates is buried in an unmarked grave next to his mother in Coal Hill Cemetary,Ar.
He was married first to Divinah Dixon,second to Anna Mae Kuykendall.

The reason Yates was in prison was he shot,Jan. 1,1908, through a door and killed N.N. Rosamont and Martha T Rosamont Overturf,wife of F.M. Overturf in Newton County,Ar
If you find the grandfother,Harry Campbell,killed April 3,1922,Harrison, Ar, please let me know.Grandmother, Addie Ruth Parker ,of the Oklahoma Indian Terratory had left grandfather at the time of his death and married a Millow man ffom Midfield(B'ham),Al.
