Hi Marian,
I have Sgt. Champ LANGFORD's pension from the Arkansas History Commission. They
must have kept some record of the payments that were made. And when those payments
were stopped. I don't know why they weren't included in his pension file. If they
had included a date when his pension stopped, I'd have a clue as to when he died.
As it is, I only know he died within an 8-year date range -- 1906 (when he applied
for the Confederate pension) and 1914 (when the Arkansas Death Index began, Champ
wasn't in it).
