Subject: [ARKANSAS] Looking families of Waldrops
Date: Tue, 29 Aug 2006 13:00:56 EDT

I will be driving to DeSoto / Tate County, Mississippi this Friday and
Saturday. I am looking for anyone who might be related to the Waldrops.

Waldrop, Green Berry 1796-1854
Waldrop Elizabeth (Ward 1795)
Waldrop, McDonald
Waldrop, Henry Lowe
Waldrop , Joseph Ryan. married Nancy Heard.
Waldop, Nancy Caroline, Seaborn Higginbotham.

second generation"
Waldrop, Georgia A. 1845married Thornton
Waldrop, Stephens 1846

Thornton, Jimmy Ann, married Arthur Scott.

And many more.

I am looking for anyone that might have the Waldrop family Bible.

They lived in Coldwater, Brinkley, Wheatley, and near Independence,
Mississippi.

Green Berry Waldrop was a Minister in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church from 1850
until the near late 1850s.

There is a road in Coldwater that is called Waldrop Road.

Rev. Green Berry Waldrop was buried in Evansen's Cemetery along with several
other members of his family.

Georgia Ann Waldrop Thornton and some of her family are buried in St. Francis
, Arkansas.

Does anyone know if there are any Waldrop family members left in the area of
Tate or DeSoto County, Mississippi?

Thanks for any help.
