Well I have also been trying to find a death record of Granville's father
William Gardner/Garner Moore born 1955 appx born in Ohio,i know he was
alive in 1930 for i found him on the 1930 Census and his wife Nora Ellen
Powell Moore also born in Ohio,she was born in Findlay/Hancock County
Ohio in 1864,She was also still alive in 1930,I have sent off for 2
different W G Moore's death cert but neither was him so the money was
wasted,,I was told that they sometimes called either Granville or his Dad
"Pumphouse"Moore,why I have no idea,I believe Granville died "i was
told"many years before his wife Lula D Farmer,and according to the census
that was sent to me she died in Nov 1954 and was still alive in 1930 on
that Census also,However i dont know if my Ggrandmother would be listed
as Granville's mother for there was only about 10 to 12 yrs difference in
their ages and William G was a bit older than Nora Ellen,so i believe
William was probably married once before Nora Ellen,she went by "Ellen"I
believe,but she and William G were married in Findlay Ohio in 1885,i have
the marriage license but it gives no information other that county,town
,state,names and date,gives no parents names ,I know information on
Ggrandma Ellens family but cannot get ANYWHERE on William G Moore's
family,his parents,brothers,sisters or even where in Ohio he was born,I
found a Granville Moore in a Cemetery in Greene County,Arkansas and there
were a few other Moore's buried in the same Cem,,but there is no
information on any of them other than names,I dont know why he would be
buried there since they lived in Lawerence Co and Independence Co,but i
guess you never know but i have no way of finding out if this Granville
is mine or not or finding information that isnt on the stone,
I really do appreciate you help !
