Hi, Thanks for your post. Since I wrote that old post I have discovered some things about my family Runyan, Turner, Hugg, Lane, Nelms, Doyle, Hooten, Massey and Penn all in Lawrence Co.Arkansas. There is a COUCH web site that has all these people in Lawrence Co. Ark.

I truly don't know much about the Campbell. I do know that in Arkansas they married into Nelms. I do know that MARY CAMPBELL wed Tavenor Andrew Jackson RUNYAN, M.D. in TN andthey came to Arkansas after the civil war started.

DON"T know if your Mary Campbell daughter of a Runyan mother is the same Mary Campbell that wed TAJ Runyan, MD and died in Arkansas. But it is an interesting idea and I do wish I had something to help you with proof. I don't. there is a Runyan web link-but I have not worked that line in a long time, but think it still is active.
Tavenor AJ Runyan had a daughter: Martha Matilda Runyan 1861-1901, she wed James Marion TURNER (1856-1905) and one of their daughters, Ollie Mae Turner married Grandon Tobias Hugg. All born in Strawberry, Lawrence Co.Ark. In the other post-Lewis Hugg should be Lewis Turner. Two of his children live in TX-Gray Co.
Tavenor Runyan had a brother who was also a medical doctor and lived in Ark. There is a bio of them both on Goodspeeds in, archives.

I would like more information on the Mary Campbell-in hopes that I can prove your Mary is the same as mine? But, I have bare bones data-and am still trying to prove Arkansas statements. But I will help all I can-if you have questions. thanks, sincerely Judy Hugg Grimes-CA.
