There is no township by that name in Montgomery or Polk County, and I don't
believe there is in Pike or Howard. If what you are looking for is before
the 1840s you might try looking in Garland County, although I don't think
you will find it there either.

I think this is a case of someone giving misinformation--which happens quite
often. They may have just mistyped it. I suspect it was meant to be Mazarn
Township.

Would it help if I scanned a copy of the townships in? Who was it that you
are looking for and I will look them up in the census and see what township
they show up in. I have Montgomery County Census for
1850-1860-1870-1880-1900-1910
