Hi Jessica.

I believe they are David and at least one son. W/o looking at the census
again, I suspect the following:

1830 Genoa John Armstrong: 1 m -5, 2 m 20-30, 2 f 20-30
Not sure. David's John apparently died in 1793 (first burial in the Wilcox
cemetery). Not sure who this one is.

1820 Genoa David Armstrong: 1 m -10, 2 m 45+, 2 f -10, 1 f 26-44, 1 f 45+
Has his son Francis and daughter in law Sally Barnum and three grandkids
living with him. David b. 30 June 1742 and d. 15 Sept. 1832. This is my
line and I have more info if you want it.

1820 Genoa James Armstrong: 2 m -10, 1 m 25-44, 1 m 45+, 2 f -10, 2 f 10-16.
I suspect this is David's son. b. 28 Dec. 1776, d. after 1820 in Howard, NY.

There are also some Armstrongs that settled a land mortgage of David's
property after he died that I can't prove are his children. I think I have
a copy of that record if it helps.

Here is an attachment that shows, by lining up generations of the same ages,
which of the Armstrongs in Genoa I think might be related.

My money is one David Jr. or Andrew. Ignore the right line to John since he
died at 15 years old.

Good luck,
Jim in Rochester.

Subject: [ARMSTRONG] Info on some early Armstrongs

Hi all, I was looking through the NYS Federal Census index and found some
Armstrongs that might be the father of my Silas b 1823 Venice, NY. I was
wondering if any of you had additional information about these guys:

1830 Genoa John Armstrong: 1 m -5, 2 m 20-30, 2 f 20-30
1820 Genoa David Armstrong: 1 m -10, 2 m 45+, 2 f -10, 1 f 26-44, 1 f 45+
1820 Genoa James Armstrong: 2 m -10, 1 m 25-44, 1 m 45+, 2 f -10, 2 f 10-16,
1 f 26-44

Thanks in advance,
Jessica
