Good morning, Listers! You will all be pleased to hear that I *finally*
have made a breakthrough in looking for possible relatives of my father
Odell Clyde HARLIN aka Clyde Odell CLARK. To bring everyone up to
speed--this summer at the Southwest AR Regional Archives in Washington,
Hempstead, AR, I found the marriage record of Ellie CLARK and Clyde HARLAN,
whom I suspect to be my father's parents. They were m. in Hempstead Co.,
Christmas 1919, and Davis CLARK was security on the marriage bond. Ellie
and Clyde were in White Co., AR, for the 1920 census two weeks later. A
Sallie CLARK was boarding with "not reported" in Hempstead Co., 1920.
Census information says that Sallie and Ellie both were b. SC. Last week I
found Sallie, Ellen, and Davis as children of Jessie and Winnie CLARK,
1900, York Co., SC, and the dates are a good match for census data.

This morning I checked the Nevada Co. cemetery records online and found
"Sallie Clark JONES, 3-28-1886, 12-6-1943, wife of R. L. Jones, Forest Hill
Cemetery." When I checked this against the 1900 SC d. o. b. for Sallie,
the census said she was b. March 1886!

Could somebody down there please, please, please see if you can look up the
obituary of Sallie (CLARK) JONES, died 6 December 1943, buried Forest Hill
Cemetery, Nevada Co., AR? I'll write to SARA, but I'm so excited that I
don't think I can wait for a response!
