Subject: [ARNOLD-L] Arnolds in England
Date: Wed, 20 Jan 1999 22:47:10 GMT
I am researching my wife's Arnold ancestors in the UK. Fortunately, we
live in the area of our research, Lancashire in North-West England, and
so sources are relatively easy to search.
So far, I have traced our family to about 1800 in the rural villages of
Burscough and Lathom where there are records of Arnolds in the local
parishes from the mid-16th century.
I intend to create a website containing details of Arnolds of this
area, and hopefully of others in the UK. Before I risk duplicating the
efforts of others needlessly, I would like to ask if there is anyone
with Arnold connections in this area? I would like to create a resource
reference for other Arnold researchers, with particular emphasis on the
UK, since it appears to me that much of the discussion on this list is
of US research.
I would welcome contributions from anyone, whether it be material for
publication/sharing, or ideas as to what material would be useful.
Thank you,
Ken
