I would like to request help from some of you Arnold reseachers. I am
seeking information about my great, great grandparents who were born in
Orange County, NC. This is the information I know:

Green Wiley ARNOLD was born August 7, 1818 in Orange County, NC. The 1810
and 1820 Orange County NC Census lists only one ARNOLD. His name is John.
There is also a marriage listing in Orange County on December 26, 1812 for
John ARNOLD and Sarah MURRAY. Are these the parents of Green Wiley ARNOLD?

The wife of Green Wiley ARNOLD was Rhoda Adaline DOLLAR. She was born in
Orange County, NC on February 24, 1823. I have been told by other DOLLAR
researchers that she is probably the daughter or granddaughter of Jonathan
DOLLAR. It seems that there is a Jonathan DOLLAR listed in the Orange
County NC Censuses each year between 1790 and 1850. Do any of you know
anyone who has information about Jonathan DOLLAR?

This couple left NC and migrated to LaFayette County, MS where they are
listed in the 1840 Census. By 1850 they are located in McCracken County,
KY. They remained in McCracken County, KY and are buried there.

I would like very much to contact anyone who is researching either of these
families. Information in early editions of AFAS indicate that Mrs. Justus
Harper of Athens, GA and Mrs. Marie Arnold of Richmond, TX might also have
researched this Arnold line. Letters to these ladies have been returned to
me marked "addressee unknown". If you know how to contact these ladies or
their descendents I would greatly appreciate it if you will let me know.
This has been my "brick wall" for several years and I will appreciate any
help. Thanks!
