Hi Fay,
I'd like to hear more about your SULLIVAN family.
My gggrandfather, Dunklin Sullivan, and his wife and family moved to Phillips
County from AL just after the Civil War, where Dunklin continued to reside
until after 1900. He was the ggrandson of Charles Sullivan and Mary Charlton
of Greenville Co., SC, whose four sons had many descendants in SC, TN, AL,
MS, and AR. One son had descendants in AR who still use the spelling
variation 'Sullivant'.
Please let me know if any of this is familiar to you.
Thanks,
LaRae
BTW...if your LIGON family was ever spelled LYGON, I'd be happy to share with
you ...have the name traced back to the 1400s.

ASHING, BONNER, DYE, GIDDEN (Gideon), GREEN, GRESHAM, KINDEL,
LIGON, MCDOWELL, MCGONIGLE, PASLAY, RAMEY, SLAUGHTER, SULLIVAN,
THOMPSON, and WEBB
These families came to this area from the early to mid 1800's, and
some of the descendants have remained here until the present date.
If anyone is connected to these family names, I will be happy to
exchange any information I have.
Best Wishes to All,
