Dear Hazel,
Thanks so much for replying. I'll write you a longer email. My gg-grandparents were Elizabeth Ramsey and her second husband, Andrew L. Sylar. My great-grandparents were their daughter Cassie Sylar and Dr. William A. Campbell.

I posted what I know about the Sylar and Van Vlake families on rootsweb. I sure got a lot of help from some wonderful people and have met lots of new cousins on the Internet. The page is at:
