Howdy,
I am seeing him on the 1900 census, I think. He's in the household of
Martha Marks, born 1840, age 60 as "Essie" Peters, grandson, born July
1891 in Arkansas. Father born Mississippi and mother born Arkansas. He
is at school. Other members of the household are Samuel Horne (at least
that's how I'm reading it) age 70, a brick moulder (I can barely read
this) who is a boarder, and Matilda Hildane (can't read it too well),
step-daughter, age 15, who is also at school.
This is Helena, Phillips County, Arkansas, St. Francis Township, sheet 29
B.
Let's see if we can find him on 1910, 1920 and 1930.
