Well, how about that. He's still in Helena with his grandma in 1910.
Martha Marks is now 70, born Mississippi, both parents born Virginia.
Essex is now 18, and he is working as a laborer. Samuel Harris is a
boarder in the household, and is 75. This is sheet 6A.

In 1920, Essex looks like he's in the Army. He's at the Fort Huachuca
Military Reservation in Cochise County, Arizona. He's now 28, a solder and
married to Clara B., age 27, born in Texas.

Looks like 1930 is bad times for Essex. He is now at the United States
Penitentiary, McNeil Island, Pierce County, Washington. Poor fellow!
I'm curious about what became of him.
