Seeking information on James C. "Jim" Hooten shown in the censuses below. He's not in my family file, but I've got a great old photo of a general store/post office in Deckerville which was taken c. 1915-16. My grandfather, John Wylie Dye, and two unidentified men are standing in front of the store. It appears they all worked there, so one may be J.C. Hooten himself. The sign on the window says "J.C. Hooten & Co. General Store" with "Post Office, Deckerville, AR" above the door. I was just curious and tried to find him in the census. I'd guess William Hooten was his brother. Looks like Jim was married at least three times and that daughter, Ollie, belonged to first wife, Ethel. It's interesting that William had a son named Ollie. I found Jim and last(?) wife, Lynn, buried in Lepanto. If anyone has any more information on this family, I'd be interested, or if anyone is interested in a copy of the photo, I'd be happy to share it.
