I'm the granddaughter of Luther Gray Jackson, your mother's brother.

Papaw Bob and Mamaw Mattie were married 30 December 1900 in Prairie County.
They were married by H. Y. Morris (no title or affiliation shown). The
license was not recorded at the Prairie County Court House until 14 January
1901, page 359 Book H of Marriage Records. So, the recording date was not in
1900, and, consequently, did not appear in the index book 1851-1900.

Mattie is shown on my copy of a certified copy dated 1948 as Mattie LINTON
rather than LEONARD. I do not
know whether this was a typographical error by the clerk who referred to the
marriage book in 1948, or whether the original recording was shown as
LINTON. We do know, of course, that her name was Mattie Belle LEONARD. I've
not had a chance to examine the original marriage book described above.
