I've being doing some work on the McAdoos this summer. Your Lee (Leander) and my Samuel are actually brothers. Lee's father is John Robert McAdoo and his mother is Levisa Douglass. I have found Lee in John Robert McAdoo's household in 1870 and 1880 Census for Saline CO. I also have family info that has a list of John and Levisa's children and their birth and death dates. I have some more info on the Douglass side of the family, but still do not have John Robert McAdoo's parents. I can send you more info if you are still interested.
