A.E. Lenington
SALLISAW — A.E. “Gene” Lenington, 77, of Sallisaw died Monday, Sept. 9,
2002, in Fort Smith. He was born June 9, 1925, in Fort Smith. He was a
farmer, carpenter, construction contractor, an Army veteran of World War II
and of the Assembly of God faith.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw
with burial at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw.
He is survived by three daughters, Pam Wallace of Muldrow, Brenda Thomas of
Sallisaw and Karen Real of Fort Worth, Texas; a son, Eric Lenington of
Tulsa; two sisters, Clara Knight of Siloam Springs and Wanda West of
Sallisaw; a brother, John Lenington of Sallisaw; nine grandchildren and one
great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Monty, Todd, Ken and Monty Lenington Jr.
The body may be viewed 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the
family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
