Carl Shipman
Carl Gene Shipman, 58, of Fort Smith died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002, in Fort
Smith. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Fort Smith.
Fineral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort
Smith with burial at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Frankie; two daughters, Tonya McAlister of Fort
Smith and Crystal Pence of Lavaca; his parents, Harley and Alma Shipman of
Arkoma; two sisters, Virginia Swilling of Barling and Ruby Needham of
Pocola; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth and Paul Shipman, Shawn and Robert Swilling,
Steven Neal and Charlie Houck.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral
home.
