Lois, I intended to add that all corrections and additions would be
appreciated, but accidentally hit the "send button" too quick.

Most of my info has been checked mainly through the census, using Carl's
books, my maternal grandmother [b: 1869 ~ d: 1969] with North Carolina & Kentucky
ASBURYs too, and for the Georgia gang, checked through books in that state
regarding ASBURY/ASBERRY families and those connected to them. I don't believe
your Cynthia has been checked by me, but then, I lost a lot of "my stuff" on my
old pooter. Stella helped me a lot, and so did my cousin, Sue, among others.


I'm connected to the ASBURY families maternally and paternally through
Richard ASBURY who married Elizabeth THORNTON and had Hannah ASBURY, b: 27 NOV
1781/82, Virginia ~ d: 1847, Heard County, Georgia. Married 24 DEC 1799, Greene
County, Georgia, to William Henning DANIEL, bc: 1770 ~ d: 1813, Georgia, Hannah
and Henning were my gg-grandparents. As a child I visited Richard and
Elizabeth's plantation home in Georgia, while it was still standing.

4. Hannah Louvicy 'Vicey' ASBURY, b: 1872/73 ~ d: 1942. Married 1893, to
Elias John HARBAUGH, b: 1858 ~ d: 1937

5. Cynthia Elizabeth ASBURY, b: JAN 1877, West Virginia ~ d: 1935. Married
(1) 1895, to James WALKER, b: SEP 1866, Michigan. His parents were born in
Ireland. Child: Nellie WALKER, bc: MAR 1897, Galesburg, Illinois Cynthia
married (2) George PITTARD, ~ d: 1926. Married (3) Albert ASBURY, ~ d: 1935

6. Nora L. ASBURY, b: SEP 1879, Jeffersonville District, Tazewell County,
West, Virginia ~ d: 1902. Married circa 1893, to Richard L. CROUSE, bc: DEC
1870, Jeffersonville District, Tazewell County, West Virginia ~ d: 1906. Son of
David CROUSE, b: 1849/50, North Carolina and Rebecca J. UNKNOWN, b: 1851/52,
Virginia [two children]

7. Sciota Savannah H. ASBURY, b: 1882, West Virginia ~ d: 1953, Illinois.
Married 1900, Iowa, to her first cousin, George Washington ASBURY, b: 1876 ~ d:
1954. Son of Joseph ASBURY and Rebecca Cordelia LINKHOUSE. [eight children]

8. Margaret Rebecca 'Maggie' ASBURY, b: 1885 ~ d: 1945. Married 1920, to
Arlo HAYNES, b: 1896 ~ d: 1965.

9. Luemma ASBURY, b: 1887 ~ d: 1971. Married 1909, to Israel Harrison
HOWERTER, b: 05 JUL 1887, Knox County, Illinois ~ US Deputy Mail Carrier ~ d: 1971
Israel registered for the Draft [WWI] on 05 JUN 1917. His father was born in
Pennsylvania, and mother in Illinois. In 1920, the family was living in
Chestnut, Knox County, Illinois [seven children]

10. Joseph ASBURY, b: 1891 ~ d: 1891

I imagine it is the last child, Joseph, that is different from your list. I
realize a number of people don't bother with adding the children that died so
early in life, but I like seeing the whole picture. Well, my 'keeper' sez
