I am looking for information on James Hilton ASHTON's ancestors. His 1844 US Naturalization papers state that he was born in 1817 in England, Lancashire County in the Parish of Oldham. His parents were Thomas and Ann (Hilton) ASHTON. He arrived in the US in New York in 1840. That is all the information that I have on his ancestrial history. I have much information on his decendants but nothing of ancestors. Can someone help me with any of ASHTON or HILTON family history? I look forward to any information you might be able to supply. Thanks in advance for any replies.
