OBITUARY
MRS. RICHARD ASHTON - Memories of bygone days in Orangeville were revived by the news of the death of Mrs. Richard Ashton, at her home, 767 Ossington Ave., Toronto, on Sunday, November 5th. Deceased woman, whose maiden name was Gertrude Blanche Nelson, lived here for a number of years when a girl. Some of our older readers will recall that she was badly burned in a fire which occurred in her Orangeville home. Her husband is also a former resident of Orangeville and will be quite well remembered by a number of our citizens. Mrs. Ashton is survived by her husband, a daughter, Dorothy, and a sister, Mrs. Helen Savabe, of Chicago. The funeral was held from her late home to Prospect Cemetery, Toronto, on Wednesday afternon, November 8th.
And now I have a search on for Dorothy ZOHN as well as Emma BULL-ASHTON. If anyone finds any of this even remotely familiar, please let me know.
